Obama Philadelphia Rally, 4-18-08, Part 1

I took these photographs at a rally held for Barack Obama four days before the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary in April 2008. Obama spoke at Independence Mall in Center City Philadelphia, drawing one of the largest crowds of his campaign. Performers included Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas and Ed Kowalczyk from Live. He wound up losing by 9 points to Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania, but won the state in the fall election. This is the first part of a series.
